    Hey guys,

I've started just my first affiliate website (topic: casino, gambling). I got allready about 80 backlinks and have 7 really unique and quality articles. The site is fully onpage optimized (different titles, h1 and so on).

Whats your experience, when will google start sending me traffic? I didn't got any until now :(.

Not to crush your dreams, but unless its a really really and did i say really great site, your site will not get much traffic from SE. Quick search: Results 1 - 10 of about 72,500,000 for gambling.

If you are planning to make money on it, try going with adwords marketing.....

Anghus, he's got a review site - while I do agree with you about the main terms he's targeting, he should look into optimizing for specific terms that have less competition but still bring in plenty of traffic to start off.

That code he's using doesn't impress me much either.

Yeah I'am going to optimize for keywords like "gambling articles" where there are only about 380.000 results. It just was more a general question, how many backlinks do you have and how many content before google sended you your first traffic?

Could you explain that? Don't understand what you want to say.

The semantics of the code involved. It's something the search engines try to take into consideration when analyzing a page's contents. In fact, I just wrote not one, but TWO posts on the subject for a new member here on the forums.

As for traffic, that's going to depend on how well you did your competitive keywords analysis and research (if at all).

Yea, I think the keywords related to casino, gambling are highly competitive, best if you focus on some good keyphrases especially from your niche.

So, to summarize, i should get more backlinks with non competive titles and keywords and write more articles, also with non competive titles and text keys?

Ah now i understand, language mistake :-P. I think my semantics are great, i managed it to set the h1 tag and the article code bevore ANY link comes in html code. :)

Just missing a good meta information plugin for my CMS will have to write my own :-(.

PS: *G* i did notice my statistic plugin don't works, maybe i don't have to wonder and google sended me allready thousands of visitors xD.
