When will Google map all of the USA?

I find this strange and wanted to see if anyone else noticed this. When you use google maps or google earth there are huge parts of the US that are blobbed out thousands of feet above.

For example if I look at an area near my me in north eastern PA you can only zoom to 2000 ft before it says it can't zoom in any farther, and at 2000ft it's nothing but a green blob with some lines going through it.

BUT if you zoom in on a random part of europe you can go get down to a 100ft, and I'm not talking about populated areas, you can literally zoom down and see huge areas of what look to be farm fields.

I don't get it. Google is based in the US, but it seems to be focusing on getting satellite maps of the rest of the world instead. Every time I've heard of them updating their maps it's always been about how they've now got super high res maps of hong kong, or something like that. When is google going to at least give the USA satellite maps that are worth looking at?

BTW Even Microsofts's crappy Live satellite maps can zoom in on my area of PA.
