I doubt the penguin update will end anytime soon, it will probably be an on going thing with constant "improvements" just as google has done.

We should fit to the newest update of ooogle, which actually is quite normal.
The problem is not in the backlinks, but in updated and overoptimized keywords.
This means that if you have 60% of backlinks pointing to same keyword, google will implement penguin update to your website and it will disaapear from search engines
The problem is not in the number of backlinks, but actually in the number of same keywords.

That is the most stupidest thing they could done. So if my site can only target one keyword because it is only related to that keyword google will apply the penguin update.

Well, Penguin is laready set up and it substitte the Google Panda. I think, this will last if there's another Google security that will substitute Google Penguin.

i was under the impression that Penguin has already ended! the repercussions from the penguins are still ongoing. My sites fluctuate from pos 35 to position 12. Content is unique and i do not use automation so not sure why the penguin killed me ..
    To your success

There is no end to Penguin Update, it has already ruled out those sites for which it was launched. It has already penalised black hat seo sites and they will not repair again.

Google will keep going after sites they consider low quality - it will never stop, whatever the current algo change happens to be called. Nor will it every return to how it was months ago. Don't waste your time reacting to every Google change and don't depend for all your trafic on Google or on any other single source. You must diversify. Use social networks, article marketing, YouTube, Squidoo and other Web 2.0 tools, image marketing, directories, etc., etc.Work to provide excellent value and great content to your visitors. If you're good to your visitors, steer clear of questionable practices, keep you link profile clean and stay 100% white hat, Google won't harm your rankings. And the more you use methods other than Google the safer you'll be.
