The only problems with google are they try to make algo so smart it ruins some searches. You can over engineer almost anything and google did it the last few updates.

Adsense should also warn of any problems before banning sites. They should give you 2 warnings and take money earned when the problem was affecting earnings not take all the money. If you do not fix any problem after a set amount of time they then should ban the site.

He's said it himself - it's a mistake to rely on Google entirely. Google isn't the internet, it's a just a search engine. Yes, it's the most used, and most web-sites get most of their traffic from it, but if you've set up your business model to depend on google and google alone, you are making yourself extremely vulnerable, because Google isn't running their search network for you and you alone, it's juggling with the demands of millions of searchers and webmasters.

Yeah, 1/2 warnings and a monetary fine would be good since they perm ban.

I like Google and don't care much about their algo but what I do want is a Google area where they tell you exactly what's going on with your site.

Example: is my site penalized? if so, for what? and how can I improve it? - Is my site banned? if so, how come and how can I prevent future bans?

    Etc.

This is valuable info that Google should tell us! Now it is just guess-work and i'm really sick of that sh*t!

Google is the New Millenium's Microsoft - give it another 15 years or so (maybe a lot sooner), and you'll see what I mean. :)

you can always remove your site from Google with the robots file....then rely on Yahoo, MSN and paid advertising for all your traffic

That's the way capitalsim works. Why would anyone trust Google? Their number one concern our themselves and their shareholders.

Google is a tool and they became big because webmasters relied so heavily on them. They are in the business to make money and they do it by cracking down hard on people who do not follow their rules. One may not like it but it is smart business and it is what made them number one. If someone does not like it, they can refuse to allow them access to their site as seo ranter stated above. The truth is though, we will continue to rely on them because they are still number one.

Agreed. :) Its all about money. What happens when you don't pay your phone bill? Why should Google be any different than any other Business?
