How should we know when you will hit that number? We don't know the URL nor a member on it. What ever marketing methods you are currently using, just double that effort to increase your new members. Of course doubling the marketing effort may not double the amount of new members joining but it takes time and traffic to get new members. Word of mouth spreads fast sometimes. Now keeping the members active is another story. Why are you asking "when will i hit 10k members? Is there a prize to reaching this number?

Well, if the site didn't go viral after 8 months, chances are high it never will, so expect members building up at the same pace as so far...so, another half a year would be my guess.

If you already reached the half of your target then it will come on the right time.Just keep on doing what's good for your social site to have more members everyday.
