I'm sick of religious people honestly... I think they are just brainwashed people its annoying as hell to hear them talking about god, how do we know he existed? No proof whatso ever.
Is there a new version of Knight Rider? or is it the old season? I love to watch the Knight Rider last time. wio wio wio wio wio, Michael, i sense heat in here.
Was it the last five minutes? If so, i can tell you what happened. Michael saved the girl, pulled KIT into the transport truck and Michael, Devon and bonnie all had a good luagh.
And carbon 14 dating applies to what? What established the timeline? Man. What carbon 14 has to do with this discussion and the age of the earth as it applies to your theories in the billions of years, I would really like to know. Carbon 14 ony dates biological items, typically up to 50,000 years old. Not billions of years old. If the last dinosaurs died out 60 million years ago, what the hell is carbon 14 dating going to determine? If the earth is 4.5 billion years old, how on earth is Carbon 14 dating going to show that? No, that's not. But kicking out cool catch phrases, and useless one liners that have no basis in fact or reality is Just an FYI, Carbon 14 dating is used for dating things like wood, plant fibers, clothing, and bones that were created in the relatively recent past by HUMAN activities. BTW Rob, the half life of carbon 14 is about 5,700 years, so dating anything older than say 50 - 60,000 years is not possible. Perhaps you were looking for something like Potassium 40, which has a half life of 1.3billion years? Anyway, for all we know, the earth could be 1 day old, or may not exist at all but in our minds. Ponder that one.
And they all live happyly ever after on an unknown, of Earth birth date. Even until now, KIT doesn't know when does motherearth was born.
So you agree? The only point I was trying to make is that the EARTH IS OLDER THAN 6,000 years old. I wasn't trying to pinpoint the actual age. So just relax.
According to the Bible, this world was created approximately 6,000 years ago. I find it hard to believe that the earth is billion of years old, like scientists say.
It's the series from the eighties. I catch the A-Team (one of my favs) every day too. The five minutes before the last ten minutes. The episode where Michael *finally* decides to get married, BUT, just after being pronounced man/wife, the bad guy shows up to kill Michael and his new wife throws her body in front of him to take the bullet.
Eh, they kinda rushed into the marriage anyway- IMO. The series was never the same after that episode. That's when it started to go down hill.
Not really. I still "believe" it is only 6,000 years old. I used to "think" it was 4.5billion years old. Difference here is , what I was taught and what I believe. Like every young kid I had a facination with dinosaurs, still do. So much so I invested many years in the collection of fossils, researching various species of dinosaurs, and other early forms of life. That said, I was taught that dinosaurs where millions of years old, and that the earth must be billions of years old. Both science and religion at some point are nothing more than the word of "man". Neither is entirely right or wrong. It's all about what you think and or believe. What I know of carbon 14 and pottasium 40 is that "MAN" created the timeline. No one knows how old the earth is, because anyone who was around back then did not keep written records. We have no way of accurately determining the earths age, even with different forms of dating, because who is to say that the half life of pottasium 40 really is 1.3 billion years? It could be 100 years for all we know. Anyway, back to what I was saying initially, I used to think the earth was older. I guess it is just a difference between what someone told me, and what I believe. Hell, people thought the earth was flat before they found out it was round. You'll come around.
Ah, ok, that means they will likely run it again, and again, and again... Is "Knight Rider" really Sci-Fi? I stopped watching the SciFi Channel years ago after getting sick of the useless made for SciFi Channel series's, and borderline, non-sci-fi crap they were playing. I wonder if they have changed the format?
I don't normally watch sci-fi either. I'm not a big sci-fi fan. Just happened to be scanning through the channel guide and noticed it.
I don't even know what to say.... Well, I guess 6,000 years is a good number. Screw science! All of those rocks, fossils and other matter that prove otherwise are just objects placed throughout the earth by God to screw with us. What a prankster! Or maybe it was the devil that made those rocks? Damn you, EVIL ROCKS!
Mia, Might want to pick this fight, because not everyone understands this. I love Stephen Hawking information that time once didn't' even exist. The makes for a very interesting paradox.
I think the stegosaurus head has been switch three times in my lifetime. The book/movie Jurassic Park's Velociraptors was based on a dinosaur later found to be as big as a wild turkey. T-Rex has changed in shape and size, because there are only a handful of actual skeletons found. etc, etc, etc.... tom <= dinosaur nut
