    Earliest english title was the bible, i'm pretty sure.

    The bible you;re thinking of, the Gutenberg Bible, was I believe written in Latin.

    Doesn;t say. The church back then used Latin for mass so it would make sense for the bible to also be in Latin.

    Looks like Latin to me.

    edit: Further down on that second page mentions that the Gutenberg Bible was written in Latin.
