When video (flv) loads, my sit freezes. What might be the issue?

So whenever I click play on a video, the whole site freezes up.

This is probably a server-side issue as it's the same when I am downloading files off the site.

When the file, video is loaded the site unfreezes.

    Any ideas?

It's running apache2 on gentoo linux.

It must be the player, since browser may be loading anything but cant get stuck (except huge javascript codes).
Another possiblity is some javascript code that is put alongwith the player.

I tried all of the players on the market. It's not the player issue. It's server-side or php-related

Try this free FLV player I created a year back http://www.getflvplayer.com

But I think it is javascript problem that keeps the browser so busy. maby the siteLoader() triggered onload event of body tag.

    lmao, you serious?

it's a server side issue, not the connection issue

Your flash reader is not updated. It also happened to me so I think this will help you out. But I'm a windows user but just see if it helps first. What I do is i download the the newer version of addobe flash player. Then Uninstall what you have install in your computer then install what you have downloaded. Try if it helped out.
