When Using eMail Addresses With Paypal

    Hi,

I've been seeing more and more Paypal check-out pages that are using a gmail address. Do you think it looks professional to use your gmail, hotmail or yahoo address on the Paypal check-out page instead of your domain name, when selling products directly from your domain name?

I think if your selling straight from your website, 'yourdomain.com' looks better to the outside world, then just have it forwarded to gmail, but maybe I'm wrong. Is gmail the new and improved way to do it now? Isn't gmail still in beta and sometimes can "go down" still.

Maybe I'm thinking about it too much...any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Jen

I figure you are correct. Having your own .com email gives a more professional look. You can always set the email address to forward all mail to your Gmail adress and automatically label it. That way you still keep it seperated from the other mail you're getting on that address.

It's not the point if it's approved by PayPal or not. You want to show a little professionality towards your customer right, then having a "real" email address looks better imo then a free one.

Thanks...that's what I think. gmail is good for a lot of things, but not as the payment link that's used directly from your website. It just doesn't look right to me after they press the payment button.

Seems like a lot of people are using the gmail though.

    Thanks for responding!
