    I started about one and a half years ago, if I recall. I'm not quite sure how I got into it, but I think I wanted to make money off my forum and somehow stumbled into Adsense.

    yh1988, thanks for the input. I just had pretty much the same critique from another forum. I will mos def put these into consideration.

    However, I am having a bit of trouble choosing the right ad size for the ad "menu bar" below the banner. Do I have to edit the adsense code for it to fit under the banner or am I just picking the wrong ad size/type?

    I've been trying to bring traffic in by reading and commenting on other blogs and posting on forums. I'm tempted to start spamming, but I don't think I'll get quality traffic that way. I'll just stick with posting good quality comments on quality forums and blogs. Hopefully my responses at those places will be good enough to reel readers to my site.
