I know that since the penguin update you don't want to use your keywords in all your links, but does anyone have any ideas on when it's best to use them? Since penguin I make sure I post both dofollow & nofollow links, and only use my keywords in 25% of links posted. Am I likely to do better if I make sure that those 25% are on high-ranking pages with dofollow links? Or is Google likely to deem this bad practice & I'm better off spreading my keyword usage across all types of link?
even 50% - 60% use of anchor would be Ok as long as you do some natural linking without anchor text, direct hyperlink and use generic terms like click here, follow this link, etc. just imagine how people would link to a page naturally. also, dont just build links to your home page, build links to inner pages as well which is more natural
Use a variety of anchor texts and use your actual keyword half the time (50%) of the time. I think doing that and making sure your links arehigh quality and natural will give your site the boost in rank it needs. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
I'm only using the keyword 25% of the time at the moment as I have too many links with the keywords in at present, once I've got the balance right again I'll be using the keyword more often. Back to the original question though, is it going to benefit me if it's only the highest quality links that contain my keyword, or am I better off mixing my keyword usage between high quality links & blog comments etc?
You shouldn't worry about the percentage of your anchor links/non-anchor links, as long as your building a variety of different anchor texts, you should be fine. The objective is make it look like your link building is natural.
I've always thought it was best to use a variety. Of course, you should be giving a slightly better portion of them towards the main keyphrase you wanna rank for..But, switch it up and use three or four different keyphrases.
Post Many Classifieds Submission because we will get backlink as per google algorithim update. I mean naked URL as wel as hyperlink.
Diversity is the key here, you want to use your "money anchors" on a variety of pages. The general consensus is to use them often enough to let Google know what your page is about with some certainty, but don't rub their noses in it. WebDev
