Say you have some great content on a target keyword. You can either: A: Post to your blog and tell your small network about it on Twitter/Facebook B: Send it to EZineArticles.com and those other Article websites C: Make it a new page on your website and just wait So what would you go with and why? Also, additional question: Can you combine your distribution mechanisms or will that penalize you for duplication?
Post it on your blog, wait until it's well indexed by search engines, after that create few different contents (article, video, and podcast derived from your blog post) and blast it all over the web with anchor text linked back to your blog post. So, all of them will be indexed right after your own blog post. That's my 2 cents. Sam
you cannot get penalized for duplicate content posted on 3rd party sites. so if you post it on your site/blog first and THEN submit it to ezine or where ever, your site will not get penalized. it is however a best practice to use unique content only for your own site and not use the same article for distribution. if you need to submit to article directories, use different articles. as for your additional question, yuo can combine or submit to multiple article directories if you wish if thats what you are asking. NO! you will not get penalized like i said before that you cannot get penalized for having duplicate content on 3rd party sites. worse case scenario.... google will de-index some of the duplicate content page but your site will not get penalized.
