when to submit a press release..

    Hey everyone,

I am about to submit my first press release to prweb. I have read a lot of useful information on dp regarding press releases but I couldn't find anything on when to submit them. I know certain news days are slower, and that on those days you get higher up the prweb list, and that sometimes it is industry specific also. It is a travel related article and I am not particularly bothered about being higher on the list if it isn't a big news day (kinda defeats the object).

So, does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this, particularly with travel based pr's?

    Look forward to your comments,
    Andy.

Wednesdays are the best for Travel or Wednesdays are the best for anything? Have you tried all other weekdays?

Just wondering what you are basing that on thats all :)

Fridays not likely to be good either. Everyone's focused on the weekend and end of work week. Thinking about happy hour, chasing women (or being chased by men), etc.

Goverment agencies always release bad news towards quitting time on fridays... press is thinking about all the above.

Look at the news-cycle... at the moment London is a travel issue ...

Wait till there aren't any over-riding stories and then submit whenever you have something news worthy to say.
