When to move on to creating the next Adsense site?

If you're making a fair income using adsense I imagine that most of you have several websites with adsense on it. I have been wondering for some time when the right time to start a new adsense site is...

At some point I imagine that creating more and more pages around the same niche topic is not worth the time and you would be better of moving on to a new site and a new niche.

So when is that time? What factors play a part when you deside to start a new site?

It's best to create one niche site with lots of creative and original content which gives you traffic from search engines. The CTR is usually higher with those sort of traffic.

Well, some people keep working on the same site, while others may move on to another. It depends on their policy of whether they think more is better.

But don't you agree that at some point you have optimized for the top 1,000 keyword phrases and it would be hard to drive more traffic to the site by building more content (if you're to stay in the niche).

As there are many Adsense pros outthere with 10, 100 or 1,000 websites I assume that they are expanding for a reason instead of just focusing on that One site?

Some expand because they want to create as many nieche sites as they possibly can. I guess, you are right about there come a time when you have to move on and expolit other opportunities rather than just working on the same site.

well, if you really have covered all angles, I guess starting a new site is a good idea. For me - my topic is never-ending. On the other hand, since you have already built traffic, built links, built PR and promoted your first site - broadening your topic is probably a good idea as well.
For me it's also about inspiration: I write and research issues/questions/subjects that fascinate me. That's not just one subject, though one subject is dominant. If you feel you've covered everything there is to cover on that first subject, perhaps starting afresh on something else is worth while. I mean: if you have an idea, why not go for it. Even if you start a new site you can still use your old one to drive traffic and PR to the new site.
