When to monetizing website?

I have seen people start monetizing after the site pick up little. Also seen people start monetizing as the site launches.

Which approach you think better?

 

If you want to start out as an ad free site, the former is better, but generally speaking, it shouldn't make that much of a difference.

 

I would start add free and go on ads when you have a decent amount of visitors, depending on your niche.
Some people think different but that's the way I do it.

 

At the launch of course why waste any money ....

 

Yep start as soon as the site is launched, every click is an extra penny in the jar.

 

I agree, some people disaprove ads on a brand new website without a decent amount of visitors and they may consider your website made just to earn money from advertising and not primarily for users.

Build traffic and backlinks plus PR first...

 

Depends on what you want.If you want low money and fast income sell links.If you want a bigger profit wait 6 months bringing links and all the seo stuff,and dependes of your site content what keywords do you follow,try adsense or other money making campaign.

 

I have applied just a few ads as I have a new forum, I sometimes think too many ads at first can be really annoying.
