hello everybody I am trying to promote a product in forums . It seems to work because people in forums are clicking on my banners and going to the publisher landing page . I got 129 Hops in 4 days but the problem is that there is no sales at all . The product gravity is about 120 . I am newbie so I need help , Is "129 hops without sales " Normal or not ? I mean what shall I do now? Am I doing something wrong or whats happening is normal ? If it's normal what's the average of Hops to make a sale ? I really need help ! Thank you very much in advance
Are you on the right forum for your product? Is your traffic targeted? I think you'll find out there is no 'right' number or average of hops for making a sale. I've made a sale in 7 hops and also have not made a sale in 100s of hops.
Yes, is your traffic targeted? Maybe your forum banners are not representing the true product or overpromising something. Make sure what they see is what they get at lp.
I think you should have quality traffic. If these are junk traffic, tons of hops would never create one sale. It is not the problem of giving up. Do remember 2 thing: right products and quality traffic.
Welcome to Internet Marketing 101. Jus playin, That's a daily grind for a internet marketer. You test and test and research and research until you find something that works. "NO" don't give up keep on trying. You'll find something eventually that works. Yes, 129 hops is nothing to be worried about without a sale, especially in forums. One other thing to think about, I'm assuming you're trying to sell a clickbank product. Remember, many people know that they can buy the product under their own affiliate link. Something to think about. If you're trying to sell in forums you gotta not be selling the product. People usually won't buy from your banner or link if they know you're going to make money from it. THE BEST WAY to sell in forums is to help someone out or give good advice and recommendations. Then have links in your signature and they may click and buy and they may not but they won't feel like your pushing product. I buy from affiliate links all the time especially if someone helps me out or gives me good advice. good luck!
Thanks for your help Thanks everybody ! but I think I am in the right forum to promote the product because the product is about music ( making beats and instruments ) and I am doing it in a music Forum . The members in the forum like my posts , that means that there is no " trust problem " and I am not promoting my product in posts because am promoting it in my signature . I think that's a good technique but I dunno why it's not working . I don't want to promote my product in posts because that will be spamming . - I am popular in the forum - People Love my posts - The forum Is Totally about music - Am not spamming - People are clicking my banners but no1 buys ! I am very confused right now , I feel something is missing And I don't know what It is But I won't give Up , I'll keep trying . Am sick of all the scams I see everyday and I know that this is possible . So I'll keep trying till I find out how. Thanks again
Am using this banner to promote the product : And since the live links are not available here , this will be the landing page : http://www.sonicproducer.com/
I was about ready to give up on a product at 500 hops and no sales. Then without me really changing anything it started selling. Its now selling at a clip of about 170 hops per sale.
I definitely know where you are coming from because I am getting the visitors but not the sales. And that can make you very discouraged.
sox14fan is right about the discouraging thing. Luckily the first site I made kinda took off and started making sales very quickly so from the start I knew what was possible. But, after that excitement i put like double the effort into my 2nd website and it struggled in the beginning and I almost felt like giving up. I told myself not to though because I had already tasted a little bit of the success and I knew I could do it. I eventually got the 2nd one off the ground and it has been very successful as well. Just keep digging and keep going. The key to being a successful person is pick your path and stick to it. If you keep changing roads you'll never get very far! Example: A professional athlete chose sports and mastered it and won it and then became a pro. People are making millions skateboarding. The million dollar skateboarder didnt just suddenly decide on skateboarding, he chose it and mastered it. Pick your path and make it to the top! Every path has obstacles but switching paths will never get you a free ride. sorry so long... basically what ever you do dont let yourself get discouraged
I think if u have a right traffic targeted. you can get sales easily.. If your traffic targeted is wrong, hundreds hops can not have a sale is normal..
Give up? That's not the only way to promote that product and it's not the only product in Clickbank either after all. There's over 10K product waiting to be promoted.
Testing is the king here, but luck counts a great deal. Just keep on keeping on. With some luck, the sales will come. And if the sales don't come, try changing product. 129 hops are normal for no sale. I have made a sale with 1 hop, then had no sale with 150 more hops for the same product. As I said, luck plays a big rule in these things! Forums are a good place to promote your products basically because the post get indexed by search engines and shown to a whole lot of people, not only to the forum members. Food for thought to those who think money making products cant be successfully promoted in money making forums like DP! Weak up!
I didn't read all the replies so sorry if I repeat anything... 1. Are you getting targeted traffic? It's not only about picking the right niche forum, but are these people really going to buy something in that niche? There are some niches that don't sell well because there's already a lot of stuff available for free. 2. What does your landing page look like? Is it bright and ugly? Plain and dull? Do you actually have one or are you just redirecting straight to the sales page. 3. Are you collecting email addresses for a potential 2nd chance sale? 4. Is your product good? 5. Is the company's sales letter high quality? If all this is in good shape, you should be converting a little better. Or maybe forum marketing isn't the best marketing approach for your niche. Don't give up until you're absolutely sure you're doing everything right on your part. (Try promoting a different product in the niche, too.)
