When to Charge for Web Design Abroad?

    Hey all,

I'm not totally sure if this is the correct forum, so if it's not, mods please feel free to move it and pm me where it went.

I'm new to Internet marketing but not new to technology or programming. As a way to make some money before my affiliate landing pages are ready, I advertised a relatively cheap ($100) web design service on Craigslist.

This is the first time I've been selling websites freelance, but I am very experienced with web design: my question is simply that I am doing web design currently for an adult website in South Africa, who will pay be during PayPal. When is it correct to ask for payment? Before I do the work? After? Half-half?

    What's the industry standard?

Again, if this is the wrong forum, I'm very sorry, I just need to know what to tell my client!

Do 50 upfront 50 upon completion, or a similar agreement.

Do not do any work without some pay. Also, don't do any mock-ups for any It's way too easy for a buyer to change their mind, and it will happen a lot.

Ask them to send you 50% advance payment and then start work for them and ask for rest 50% once their project done. That is the way to work IMO.

    DON.

It all depends on your situation. If you have a sample of your work which you can show to your client you may ask them 50 % advance payment. If you are bigner no model or template to show do the work at least halfway and host on your server and show how attractive your work is. Then ask for 50 % advance payment.

In any case the payment could be charge back as far as you are using paypal. Your decision is more of a marketing approach rather than payment processing.

Always for a client whom you never met get 50% advance, do the work upload in your server, show him for the corrections, then transfer after getting the remaining 50% this is my personal experience
