Three things to look into before submitting a website to a search engine: 1) All the content is in place (no under construction./ coming soon pages) 2) All meta tags are in place 3) Your internal linkings <hyperlinks> are working fine. that would help the search engine to rank you better.
I hope it's ok to bump an old thread... I have a question about the whole "under construction" thing. My site is about 70% done. I have a couple more major pages to write before I start working on marketing. I have one page that will include classified listings. I obviously won't have any listings until I start getting traffic, so in the meantime I put the following on that page: "Our featured listings are currently under construction. In the meantime, we're providing links to a few websites that contain listings...blah blah." And then I do include what I consider to be quality links to existing websites with listings. Is the fact that I have the words "under construction" on one of my pages going to hurt me even if I do in fact have a website that has several pages with quality content? Is it all just semantics? If I change the wording, will that be enough?
