    Who cares on when the next pagerank will be, if I'm looking to place a link on some site, while I look at the page rank, it's no longer a deciding factor. I also look at the PA and DA numbers, links to the site and the content of the site. The value of pagerank has decreased in googles eyes and it has in mine as well

    Many say that PageRank is no longer as important but how do you explain that we all wait to see what this PR update will bring. And for those that don't admit it I ask you not to cry at the next PR update saying you got small PR values ;)

    What you guys are waiting for is not an updated value of the latest Google Pagerank!
    Instead, Google will export a snapshot of its internal values to the public and might as well be out-dated.

    The number/greens we see in G toolbar is just an exported value of the internal ones, it gets pushed every couple of month by Google team.

    Try to focus on traffic and conversions.

    At the end of the day, if you're building back-links your website's internal PR (in Google servers) will be increasing gradually over-time and higher ranking will naturally follow.

    Look at Googe PageRank as a reward or as Google's measure of what you've done during the past couple of month in term of seo for your website. And always care more for the revenue generated by the traffic you drove to your site with whatever pagerank you have.
