Do you go into adwords and find out what keywords are valued higher and slip more of them into your content? Or do you just make your content as good as you can and hope for the best?
I do the second, and when I find a subject does well, I try to get more articles in that niche - and try to slightly change the wording to target people who type slightly different things in their search-engine.
Thank you guys. My site has been online for a few months now and I'm getting pretty good referral traffic. However I am only getting around 8-15 organics a day. It is kind of a bummer cause the site is meant to be used rather than read so It's difficult getting good content on there. Any suggestions?
There are always things you can add content for. I am currently building a site for an artist to sell his work, and I have added an FAQ, Home Framing Tips, Picture Hanging in your home, etc. Just think how you could describe things related to the site/niche. Good Luck DD
The latter. Because you can be sure that a lot of people will simply be targetting the highest paying keywords, and competition for them will be higher, both in the SERPs and in terms of getting the best ads to display. So the highest paying keywords don't necessarily mean the best money is to be made by stuffing them into your content. My approach may seem a little hit-and-miss, but I do want to see my visitors return, and if I stuff my text with odd keywords I can't see that happening as readily.
I just write content and don't target it by the amount words are worth in adwords. I will target keywords for a decent ranking in the search engines but I write better quality content if I'm writing about something I know rather than a load of randomness about a keyword thats a lot in adwords
