when starting a site where traffic is LOW, like say 100 uniques a day and steadily growing, is it not best to hold off on adding adsense to the site? that way, you can invite all your friends, etc...to join, and for one, they wont be tempted to click on ads thinking "of helping you out". also, adding adsense to a new site may turn people off? thoughts?
I read bout it and masters're saying that: If you place ads after a while, u'll get more succesfull rate. Cheers
Although I added Adsense from day 1, looking back I think it would have been better to wait.. here's why: if you're only getting a small amount of traffic, you aren't going to earn any Adsense money anyway If you're inviting your friends to help get things started, you run the risk of multiple clicks from them.. On a low traffic site, this will get you banned fast If you're trying to build a user/member-base you are potentially sending those people away if they click on your ads. Depending on how many ads you place and how you place them it might give it a spammy-look and people may not return.
I don't know. I guess its all a bit random. Someone will choose to do it straight a ways while others will wait.
How much does having adsense hurt in getting one-way links? For instance, might a directory be less likely to include you, or a newsletter or blog be less likely to feature and link to you? I just read a post by a famous buzz marketing blogger that he thinks adsense definitely hurts in breaking out.
in my opinion, hold off the adsense is not a good idea. every traffic will retrun you as money with the adsense
i think holding off is a good idea atleast at first. The problems about friends is true. I got scared once when one of my friends offered to click my ads on my new site because he didnt understand the system.
