I've got a few different blogs and starting a few new ones. Which of the mainstream sites do you list them on for traffic? i.e... Technorati, techmeme, etc...

There are a ton of site submittal services and sites, but looking to get a rundown on the ones people use for getting traffic quickly.

I guess it depends on what kind of blogs you're submitting. But generally, StumbleUpon, Digg, Bloggingzoom... man, the list can go on and on. Matter of fact, I think I'm going to make my list and post it this week so everyone knows!

I'm a new blogger, this info would be really helpful. I've seen a ton of submission websites but does anyone have a list of the best/most successful? Thanks!

The list I posted from my blog are all sites that I have submitted to. Some of them send me traffic, some of them do not, but they are all a backlink to my blog so either way it is worth my time.

Also, if you want to get indexed quickly (which equals more traffic) get a good ping list.

I've read somewhere, that digg is more suitable for tech related entries, while sumbleupon and reddit is better suited for other niche. I've had some experience with the peak of traffic, but one thing I learnt is to be alert. traffic come and goes, we just need to be prepared to give them reason to come back

Sitting with the same challenge. Currently I'm playing with technorati. Can anyone confirm it's usefulness and give more tips:).

Keep us posted on how to increase link popularity with blogs

None really. I concentrate on getting it ranking well with Google and then might submit it to a couple of directories.

Getting traffic to a new blog is hard work but over time it gets a lot easier.
