when someone tells you "its not a real job"

I don't mean to hijack this thread, especially because I rarely come out of lurking, but I just wanted to shout out to the East Coast Canucks! I'm in Fredericton myself.

Yeah I have just been making a lot from all this and didn't know what to say. My parents think I am just lazy because I make my money this way, and they hate it!

They don't even realize that I am also playing hockey more than I ever could and will be trying out for one of the best college teams in the state in a few months. I hang out with friends a lot more, and I am still taking classes at a local community college.

However I am still lazy, and good for nothing in their eyes. It makes me a little mad because every time I have a smile on my face they think I am up to something. However a lot of my friends always ask me if they can work under me, or if they can do what I do.

 

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, what would I say? So many thing... here's a good one:

"My $100+ a day compared to your $50-$60 a day, yeah, who am I kidding, this is so not a real job" << SARCASM

OR, ONE EVEN BETTER

"I work 1-2 hours a day, you work 8 hours. I get paid more then you still. And I get paid even when I'm not in front of the P.C. I agree, its not a real job, how could being paid more then you on a daily basis possibly be considered a real job" << Get that, MORE SARCASM

Anymore sarcasm we can add to it, I need a good laugh...

^^ Or drop a hundred on the ground (or five 20 dollar bills) and sarcastically tell them "OMG, I am so sorry, don't mind this, I mean really, its money from my so-called fake job."

Then to be more of a smartass, throw another hundred out there

My boyfriends family seems to think that any sort of online work isnt a real job. I dont make a fraction of what they make, but I DO KNOW that a lot of people in the internet job business, make considerably more than "traditional" job holders. Those people are just jealous, thats all.

and the next time, they'll be taking me in personal and asking "how can i start doing it too?"

My family thinks I'm some sort of drug dealer.

 

Of course it's not a real job: basically, this lifestyle is ssoooo friken good, that you can't call it a real job. But hey, the money keeps commin in with this awsome lifestyle, so while it's not a real job, it just means that your not going to need one.

 

Yeah, well, I'm making real money.
