i have been doing some good work (i hope!) with the marketing of my site. But SERP's didnt change substantially for good or for bad. So my question is, next page rank update? or indexing update? regards!
Google updates all of its data continuously - that includes both the content of webpages and their links/PageRank data. So, in terms of the effects of those factors, there is no longer a system-wide update that changes everyone's rankings at one time. The truth is that all of their rankings are always changing. It is only the publically-available databases Toolbar PageRank database and the public links databases that get updated on a periodic basis. Changes in those databases have no effect on the rankings because that information has long since been incorporated into them. That said, Google is also making continuous changes to their ranking methods. Most often, these are minor changes that usually only affect a limited number of sites, but once in a while they do make major changes in their ranking methods that have widespread effects on rankings. These events are, of course, completely unpredictable.
http://www.technorati.com still sits at PR NR. The last PR update was severely flawed, and I am surprised Google did not correct it yet. If they don't correct the problems in toolbar PR, we are looking at April as Adulu noted. Your rankings should be improving if you are doing good work promoting your site and building backlinks. Try seeking high quality and authoritative backlinks if your current link building method is not improving your serps.
that's exactly what i've been doing! i've been getting reviews of jetnumbers products published in top 25 voip blogs of last year.
my site being pr5 again i mailed them a while back ago and they would revery the changes =) (got penalized..)
I think this belongs to PR discussion thread...next PR update? who cares, Google can do what they want after all...
Google does a backlink update, I think same time as PR update. That is why people confuse PR actually changes the SERP.
The PR update will have no impact on your rankings so its best not to waste your time worrying about it.
Toolbar Page rank dont mean naf all unless you sell advertising space on your site so I would not worry about it serps are way more important and if your doing the right work to your website then you will soon be where you want to be serps wise.
