When Should AdSense be Added to a New Content Site?

I'm launching a new content only / resource site soon. It will be my first attempt. So far I have about 500 pages of good content and copy. Completely ad-free.

The question is - should I keep it ad-free for a few months - to establish credibility and get more natural links (and hopefully a DMOZ listing)?

Or should I monetize it right away?

    Thanks!

I would go ahead and add the advertisements now. Just dont be too aggresive with it yet.

I think your idea of waiting a while could be worthwhile.

Would certainly make your site easier to 'market' for links etc.

ill say wait for a month * if you can * .. work regularly on it and as the traffic develops , start monetizing it but dont overdo the ads etc ;)

I dont find anything wrong by adding ads now itself.
