How do you include the link to your site? Can just having the link attached to your name be enough link juice? Do you use anchor text in your comment or as a "signature" at the end? Even if you post an excellent comment will this hurt your chances of it being posted? Or do you simply input the direct address of your site IE "http://www.yoursite.com" What is the most effective method?
It depends on the blog. Many ask for your URL and then will anchor your name to your website. Blogs that don't, I usually anchor my "About Me" page to my name at the end, as if it were my "signature": Angela from Aberdeen If you want your link to remain, you have to be extra cautious not to look spammy and post spammy looking links or spammy looking comments. These links aren't for traffic, they're for backlinks. You will end up with a mixture of links with your chosen anchor text, and links without. It's unavoidable when building backlinks.
So if they anchor your name to the site that is enough? Won't that count less than anchoring specific text that your trying to rank for?
It depends on the blog for me personally. If I see comments that are left with Key Words for names I will do the same... if not I will leave my real name.
I usually include a link to my website's relevant page in blog comments. And yes, if it looks "spammy" to you, it is spam to the blog owner. I make a rule of having alt least 2 good paragraphs for blog comments with a link to my website in my signature....
I own a blog, and I encountered many spammers. They comment to my blog just t have their websites linked to my blog. I usually allow this if they have comments related with my blog topic. An example of a blog that allow for a signature linked to their sites have this comment details: _______________ Name: Email address: URL: Comment: ________________ Where your name linked to your site. That's it. I hope this helps..
I own a blog too. I allow name or any text they want to be used as anchor text as far as comment is relevant to my blog's content.
