When is the time time for Adsense deployment?

    Hello -

I just started a new forum ( www.theculturephile.com ), hah shameless plug.... Anyway, the forum is young and even if I had adsense on it, I would not be making any money... As the forum grows, I eventually want to put some adsense on it...

When do you think the right time for deployment is? Right away, when the forum is thriving and active? or after it is established as thriving and active? or even right now?

    Thanks.

My first priority is to develop a successful and interesting online community, my second is to make some revenue.

I think you should build more content and visitors then start placing advertisements.

I try to leave site content ad-less for at least a few months, especially while I am link-building.

Then, once a steady traffic stream is established, I do a single ad block, slowly monetizing the site more thoroughly over time.

    Good luck!

Start adsense right now, but with minimal links. It should not come as a shock to your readers if u suddenly introduce adsense links all over the forum

    tasty -

thats what I had in mind... and to the others... it seems like you are saying the same thing.

    rajupp -

so you think that I should slowly start integrating right now even if I only have like 15 members? I considered this but am not convinced... u think if I do it later it will be too shocking?

yes, personally speaking I was shocked to see ads all over the place suddenly in one of the local forums I constantly visited. May be you can fix a date or member count till which u wanna keep the forum ads clean and then slowly start integrating adsense

probably after you have about 100 active members posting, and like 1k threads then add some adsense

Once you reach 150-200 active members , you should put ads on your site. Hope I've helped. :)
