When is the right time to sell a website?

I felt this is the best place to post this.

When do you think is the right time to sell your site?

I am not thinking of situations where you are in a financial emergency. Other than that when would you think is the right time to sell? Is it when you cannot spare time for the site, or when you lose interest, or when you have made enough from the site? Or something else?

 

When you can get the best price for it!

You have to way up the costs of development over the returns expected at a later date.

If you think you can sell it for a good profit and are happy - sell. If you think you can make a better sale by continued development then keep it but remember about the development costs.

 

Honestly, it could be just one of those or a combination thereof, basically, if it is not worth it to you (and people judge worth in different ways, some monetarily, and others based on time) then that is when you know it is time to sell.

When you have lost interest ... you cant do anything if you arent interested

 

Not made up my mind..

But that is what got me thinking on when people decide that it is time to move on.

You do not want to sell it off too early neither you want to be late. It has to be timed just right.
