    thats pretty solid, the most ive had on webmasters tools is 7,000, but i stoped using it cuz i feel like it jynxes me? idk i just dont like it. anyway, thats a lot of links

    google updates the pageranks about every 6 months but this may vary from time to time.
    On a side note PR is changed constantly with every google bot visit to your site. When the time has comed to update PR on its toolbar it calculates the average links pointing to your website with every bot visit and puts the global average result in the toolbar PR!

    You completely got it wrong!

    Page Rank updates once in every 3 months and Also Page Rank does n't fluctate with every Bot visit ,It is simply a rumor spread by some body!

    And how do you think PR is calculated?
    When the 6th month come 10000 people sit on their chairs and start giving pageranks out of thin air?
    No google databases check for links to your website with every or at least daily bot visit. For example if google bot has visited today and you had couple of links to your website which make your website PR6 it stores that information and calculates it with other days PR. Along with site content it then moves your page to the according search engine page.

    Google is always updating PR - thats why it affects your SERPs. PR would be useless otherwise....

    i have seen changes in my PR and its is true to say that the google system is now updating, at http://www.googlebugs.com there are results and stats that show this has happened.
