    That guy is so stubborn he doesn't get it. That is exactly what I was trying to say. There are many "know it all" types like that in these forums, he's just trying to get noticed. Apparently by his links he's a shrink or something related. He actually reported me for saying he "still lives with mommy". Most people would ignore stuff like that, but to take the time to report just says I was probably right.
    Some people just want attention, perhaps he should analyze himself. This is a great forum and people like that ruin it.
    He is so annoyed by the posts yet he answers everyone with his snooty remarks.

    Anyway, I'm just going to drop it. It's really not worth it.

    Ok so ive been reading around about SEO on google and everywhere people talk about the Google Update. I gather that this is when they update their PR, but is this all that the Google Update is? also, how do you tell when it is?

    They update PR continually, but they only release this info into the public domain (toolbar etc) every few months. They also update backlinks at around the same time.

    As for when it is, well it's due any time now but no-one except Google know for definite when.

    An update can also be a backlinks update or an algo update, as well as a PR update. Those are the "major" ones, but Google is constantly doing minor updates everyday.

    not really, people spend a lot of money buying links day before christmas - now people stopped buying links and etc. since pr update is coming lol, cuz anything bought just before update wont have any affect on the update now, it'll be for the next one

    All month I've been hearing of a Google PageRank update that has been taking place, but yet none of my sites' PageRanks updated.

    Did this update actually take place or not? If not, when is the next PageRank update? Wasn't the last one in April? :confused:
