The next PR update only occurs when there are 20+ threads on the first page of the DP Google forum about the PR update. There are only three, so we're not even close.

Google updates every 3-4 months normally. But this time, it seems Google takes longer to update.

Concern more about the quality of your content these days, PR is outdated while +1 is yet another c.ap invented by google. Soon enough you will be able to read ads like "We sell 2000 +1's on google for xx bucks", same as with fakebook (no mistype) likes.

Google has always said not to worry too much about PR, but to keep building backlinks, and updating content and the PR will inevitably arrive

Yeah as said, only Google know when PR will next update. However, if you have seen your site move up, or down dramatically over the last few months you can take a good guess at what you are going to get when it does update.

Although, not necessarily. I've got a site that's been moving up quite nicely. A few pages are PR0, the rest are N/A. I'm not confident that that's changing any time soon.

Maybe there won't be any more PR update at all or just once in a year. But at least Google should have informed us about their future plans with PR.

Yes, usually goodle update PR for about 3-4 months, but this time it took more than 6 months.
Hope the new PR update will come soon, but really no-one knows when it will happen

The last one was on January 2011

The next PR update was like two month ago, but its not like it was before. The PR just changed for one of my websites. So I think that you cant really know when its gonna be.

If such updates would be a public release, then SEO will be a piece of cake really. No one would pay you for SEO.

So, I guess its important for such updates not to be shown publically.
