I have requirement of dedicated server.i take the service www.hostgater. when i ask the hostgater where is datacenter hostgater said my datacenter is www.theplanet.com. then my data where available in hostgater.com or theplanet.com.if my data is available in theplanet.com. then how can menage it please give me solution ???
theplanet.com is the datacenter where all servers are placed, most host don't have their own datacenters as setting up a datacenter is most expensive so hosting companies rent server space from different datacenters. It seems that hostgater rent space for their servers from theplanet.com I would suggest you to try to get a host who have it's own datacenter it will reduce overall hosting cost. Regarding you query, your data would be on the servers of hostgater which are placed at datacenter of theplanet.com.
