Whenever I search for the term 'skillipedia' I get the usual did you mean wikipedia! Will this suggestion disappear when my pedia becomes heavyweight (good PR + SERP)
If there's any links for 'Skillipedia' it should throw those up as well as suggesting the Wikipedia spelling - maybe there's just nothing out there about you yet?!
Back in January 2006, SEO Speedwagon had that same problem - he kept getting suggestions "Do you mean 'REO Speedwagon'?" - the 70's rock band. http://seoblog.intrapromote.com/2006/01/google_still_cr.html Currently he's got 4,000+ links, plus a PR of 5 - which may have affected this suggestion... HOWEVER I would guess that his PageRank and links had nothing to do with getting "SEO Speedwagon" into Google's dictionary. Perhaps it was due to the ratio of mentions on web-pages that "SEO Speedwagon" receives compared to mentions of "REO Speedwagon" which triggered this... (It can't be just based purely on the number of pages, because "Skillipedia" is mentioned about as many times as "SEO Speedwagon" is) Alternatively, it could have been calculated based on search volume - that eventually enough people "misspelled 'reo speedwagon'" that Google picked up on the keyword "SEO Speedwagon". Or it could have just been a natural process of Google's LSI system improving itself (ie - its database of words eventually expanded to include "SEO Speedwagon)
Once your word 'skillipedia' reaches a high search volume, Google will take it as a new word. Also, when your site has tons of backlinks with 'skillipedia' as the anchor text, Google may treat your word as a new word.
I think that google will not show "do you mean wikipedia" only when your site will have more pagerank/phaserank/backlink/relevance
