Does anyone know when Google updates website rankings? I just got a ton of backlinks yesterday but I don't see a change yet.
Serps update constantly. New threads in dp appear in results pages after about 20 minutes. As to how long it'll take for your backlinks to have an effect - firstly the page they're on has to be crawled. If they are on a popular, established high PR page, that could be 10 minutes. If they're on an inner page on a dodgy directory, could be 8 months.
It takes some time for Google to crawl all those sites and update the SERPs. It could be a week to months.
When Google gets notified about your links - it does not mean that your website will rank higher in the SERP. Patience is a virtue my friend. You will simply have to wait!
Google has recently updated its pagerank in october 2009 and now it takes three or four months time to do the next update.
Yes, After getting increment in back links it takes the time of at least a week to refresh it's SERP. So wait for a week.
When your site crawl by google bot and idexed in the google data center then it will update your website rank. Your backlinks does not shown when you type "link:your domain name" b'coz your website does not crawl your links in that website. If google crawl your links which you submit in other website then your backlinks display when you type "link:your domain name".
Oh man - don't do like that. Adding tons of backlinks in just one day will make problems for you. Google might have thought like you are doing black-hat technique and also it might will consider as a spam About Google KW rank updates, I don't thing they will update it as like PR. I am getting changes for my KW for every week and so on. I think they might update it regularly and making changes in every day or in every hour (may be).
I would suggest that you would do better if you will focus on keeping the pages updated, add more pages and more content rather than looking at daily rankings changes. Google strives to update the serp's constantly. while you chase your rankings, someone else is updating his website to rank better for the same keywords. i'm sure you get the idea
As i know.. getting tons of backlink instantly is not recommended, it can get u into trouble It should be felt more natural
Google can update ranking of the site daily, weekly. It depends on the crawling time set in the site. Some sites get crawled daily, some after 2 days, and so on.
i think once link back update finished................then it will show you the rankings..................up........n...........down.................
there isnt a set formula. it depends on many factors. could be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks
I'll agree with what most people are saying here. It is all about continual work and waiting. Keep on building backlinks and don't stop. Most people think they can get their site to jump up to a #1 rank in a few days or weeks. It takes more link a few months and a lot of times years to get where you want to be if you are using competative keywords! Keep on working at it man
You get a ton of backlinks in one day? Friend I don't think it is normal. And google will notice that too.
