I want to know when will Google caffeine updates will implemented in real search results? my website has a decent ranking in G caffeine
My take on this is... Google caffeine is a backend operating update, a bit like updating from windows xp to windows 7. It is available in googles sandbox test area, where at the same time they can ALSO TEST out some of the algo changes. Some of those algo changes will be moved to the main search algo also, some will not. The Caffeine backend operating system it's self will replace the current google search backend once they have ironed out any bugs and they are sure it is stable, but they will probably keep the current algo when it's changed, and only include new algo filters once they have been tested, tweeked and retested. You will see different results on the caffeine test area because it is NOT your local google data center, as well as it may be testing different algo tweeks to see what works best and how they interact with each other. Due to the caffeine updated backend been quicker than the old backend they can also test more complex algo changes, but only some, not all, of those will make it to live google search. Of course others will have different opinions of what will happen, and like theirs, the above is my best guess of what will happen.
Vagrant - excellent post. As to the caffeine results being quicker, I guess it may have something to do with a smaller database used. Other than that, I pretty much agree that caffeine is a test - hence the feedback-soliciting by Google.
anyone else find it strange that almost everyone is saying that their sites rank better in Caffeine results?. I mean surely for people to go up others have to go down?
