When does my 1 Week old blog start ranking? Doesn't appear for ANY keywords....

I have an excellent domain name, 4 Years old, (Don't know its history though), Website is <keyword.org>

I Did some nice on site seo and basic link building. There is BARELY any competition for my keyword, and One of the sites ranking in top 20 is <keyword.com> BUT the site is empty. It just shows "index of" and has 8 backlinks. My site is NO where to be found on the rankings. It appears if I search the domain name only.

Anything I Can do? Driving me nuts. The stupid empty site is ranking with 8 backlinks. I have more, and content.

Build links and relationships with other sites. Also get a few people to subscribe to your feed.

initially it will take time to crawl and ranking, but if you have good and fresh content, it will rank soon.

Patience my friend. 1 week is nowhere near long enough to start ranking well in the search engines. You need to give it at least a month, if not 6 months. Just keep working on link building in that time, and you will be doing great.

Try socialbookmarking and guest blogging to get it going.

if you want better feedback you should give the URL. anyhow if you can't afford to disclose it then the best solution is to keep continue doing the backlink and wait. hopefully your judgment is right so you won't waste for the waiting time.

1-3 Months? No way. we're talking about a keyword thats searched 3k a day only with little competition. Any other ideas? It still doesn't show for any keywords both the url itself. I built a lot of links already.

    A few stray thoughts:

Have you added your blog to Technorati or MyBlogLog?

If you've recently acquired it, have you checked to see if its been de-indexed by google?

    How's your PR and/or Alexa?

Have you tried using sites like Pingoat?

you have to be patience. 1 week is not enough to see how your blog rank. just concentrate on link exchange.

My site already has 380 backlinks. And isn't being ranked well. It's not a competitive keyword either. Any tips would be great.
