When does Google update backlinks to your site?

I was checking the other day how many backlinks to my site from Google I currently have. And I saw only links I posted a while ago, so that's why this question popped up. How often does Google update the backlinks? I'm pretty sure I should have more than 18 backlinks by now.

google doesn't show all of your back links they only show a sample of them. In order to see all of your backlinks use yahoo site explorer by typing link:yourdomain into the search

That's not complitely accured. Even Yahoo does leave something behind. But...if it's not shown, it doesn't mean that it wouldnt count. I got one .edu backlink and after few days my site juped 3 pages. The link is not showing, but that was the only thing I did to my site.

It's like the PR ranking. The update is BS. Google will validate your ranking every time it visits there. When that update comes, it will publishe that information to you. Own oppinion, but many things what I have seen are pointing that.

 

I think the time is when the big update come. About 3 months, google will have a big update. When that time come, you will see that you back links have been updated.

 

I think no one knows when they update it , I Keep checking them on regular basis and after few months we say oh they are update buddy .

 

I think they'll update the backlinks along with updating the PR... but, No one Knows!

It updates in 3 months that is what I have realized till now. It has been the trend for the past months this time when it will update may be then i can be sure. will let you all know about it.

 

Google usually update backlinks within 2 weeks. But some times, it can take longer. And you may not see all the backlinks in webmaster tools. You can also see the backlinks in yahoo site explorer

 

yes yahoo shows alot more backlinks for me...thank god....for all the hard work
