When google decides to rank you !
Hello, i was just wondering when my ranking bar within the search engine will ever decide to show anything, even a PR10.

I was just looking at other sites, competitors with poor quality, old design and few backlinks, yet they are PR5 etc.

My site is 3 months old, doing the work everyday to raise its profile.

Just wondering on average, how long it might take to be given a page PR by google. Thank you.

    Cheers DP

Page rank is updated on about a 3 month basis, and I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you. If anything it is just a) a guide to how good the website is and b) something to brag about.

There are some posts on how to improve your page rank around here, all you need to do is Google them.

However, if I were you I would focus on traffic. Just get the right links, from the right places, and build the right content.

if you are shooting for PR10, the answer is never. no individual site can achieve such pagerank.

in terms of getting "any" pagerank, keep getting backlinks form PR pages and your toolbar will show PR on the next update or 2

Your site is 3 months old and yet you are worried about PR. I got my PR1 for my site after 15 months...

Google updates PR after every 3 months or so and at the end of July it is expected again. So, if you want to increase your Google PageRank, than all you have to do is to keep getting quality backlinks for your site and avoid:

    1- bulk/automated submissions
    2- link farms
    3- spamdexing

    Good luck,

Google just not check the quantity of backlinks, it just check quality. It also give more weightage to one way backlink.

Design of a website doesn't matter.

Make sure your website is Off and On Site optimized and the PR will just come in due time. Build backlinks from relevant sites and make sure your content has good content and you are on your way.
