One of my blogs I am working on right now, I just submitted it to a bunch of directories. Actually a couple weeks ago, and every time I look for it on Google I still can't find it. It has plenty of content, over 75 posts in the blog and I can't seem to drive traffic to it. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I can't seem to get more than 2 or 3 visitors a day and 1 of them are me!!!! I am going to pull my hair out!

You're talking like if Google spiders your site, it will automatically show up for people to see.

Sorry, but thousands upon thousands are also vying for attention, and so many can fit on a search page, so it is the luck of the draw to land high up on search engines.

If you want a lot of traffic, seo is not the way to do it.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest. :)

A few things to think about:

    - It can take longer than two weeks. How long, is up to the spiders. But, if it has been longer than a month, try it again. You should resubmit. Even Google recommends this.

    - Just because your site has a lot of info doesn't mean anything. It has to be the right kind of info. If your blog is on, say, dating, your info should be on keywords centered around "dating."

    - If your page's keywords are drowned out by a mass of other text, that page will be that much harder to land high up on a search. Ever wonder why articles in such sites as Askmen and About are so short? That's one of the reasons.

    - Your html may be set up wrong.

    What is your url?

Right a couple of articles relevant to your theme and submit them to ezine articles.

Also keep in mnd that it takes time for a site to work its way up in the SERPs

Also, are ghost writers a way to go?

    - What are ezines?

If I have submitted the site to different directories, why wouldnt it be high up, It would have a lot of links?

What is better than doing SEO because I have tried everything to drive 1 ounce of traffic to the site, and it does not work at all, I have tried everything.

It is like that with every site I make, it just pisses me off...

Ezine Articles is an article directory. You write an article, throw in a few links and publish it there. You get backlinks as well as traffic.

Web directories may help but they will not likely get you higher up in the search engines. Remember, most everyone else is submittign their sites to directories as well.

In the long run just keep adding unique and interesting content. Traffic will increase over time.

Is it the Christian Blog in your signature?

If not, then add it to your signature. While you have been doing the right thing by submitting the link to directories, the fact is not every directory lists the link in a jiffy and even then their pages might not have been crawled till now.

Adding the link to an actively crawled site like DP would likely get the attention of Google spiders.

Also have you submitted the sitemap of the blog to Google? If you haven’t done it, do it ASAP.

You also mentioned that blog has 75 posts, are those unique posts or copied content?
