When Does Domain Age Disappear?

When does domain age and PR associated with that domain disappear? I've heard different things, so I'm unclear on this.

Is it when the domain expires and is available to be registered again? Or is it when the domain is considered to have been "dropped"?

You know if the domain expired the Registrar gives you 30 - 60 days to renew it..
I suppose that it mainly depends on the company.

Domain name expiration date indicates when the registration will lapse and the name will be deleted. This means the age and the pr will be deleted too.

if the domain get deleted then the age , PR disappear. It is when the domain becomes available again after the drop.

Domain Age disappears when the domain name expires and the registrar on which the domain name is registered is deleted by specified Registrar :)
