When do you think is the correct time to add sitemap to a site??

Hi guys,

I just want to hear from you people on when is the best time to add sitemap to a site...Is it good to add sitemap initally (ie) even before they are indexed...or have to wait until we have sufficient no of content...Also when is the best time to submit the site to google,yahoo,bing webmasters...!!

 

It all depends when you want the pages indexed in search engines.

 

I'm using to place sitemap.xml begining of the optimization. Sitemap will help you index your inner pages of the site.

 

When you are done with all your pages in website and its ready for being hosted, it is better to include sitemap.xml so that all the pages including inner pages get indexed.

 

There is no rules for what create first and what do afterwards.

You have website and you still creating pages no problem just create sitemap and update it whenever you create a page. Just submit once to webmasters tools and whwnever you update your sitemap just select the sitemap and resubmit.

 

I think when you think your site is complete and ready to be visited by Search Engines Spiders.. And this it the time you should add sitemap and get all your important pages indexed..

 

i added them as soon as my site was indexed.

 

The same day you deploy your site! Its a basic necessity for some search engine spiders.

 

XML sitemap or HTML? Regardless, I would employ both of them, as soon as possible - regardless of whether or not the pages are already indexed.
