You think that many people wake up at 3am? I thought maybe between 5 to 7am instead, but lunch hour or afternoon seems better.

    It depends.

On your content, engagement rate, type of delivery (to work, to private) and channel (mobile? from home tablet? desktop), cultural difference ... which is why services like mailinglist providers have given you testing abilities. ;) The bigger providers usually also have some way of sending lists in batches based on certain criteria for you to choose which resembles worldwide audience.

I do not think it really matters anymore since most people have email connected to their smartphone. Today, people check their mail on the run :).

i do not really go for which day of the week, but for timing, i am quite particular. I prefer 10am EST. It is pretty much the time when almost the whole world is awake.

    Cheers!

The best time to send out an email should be between 7-9 AM on a Monday.
The weekend is past and folks want to get out and do something.

What's the idea of 7-10 pm? (I assume we are talking about business propositions, ads, and stuff) they'll be lost in the mailbox. Monday morning time is good. Office people see new mail coming real time and it provokes reaction. Friday -- after noon is definitely the worst:)
