I just created a new blog about 2 days ago, created one post, optimized it and submitted it to the search engines. However what I want to know is when is the optimal time for me to start marketing my blog on forums, directories, etc? Is there any working formula, such as after I've posted at least 10 pieces of content or after I show up in the SE's?
There is no any time boundary for Marketing of Blogs. You can start any time. But you will get good response if you will wait for traffic or 1 Update of PR and Back link. after that you can show your work which has been done between these days. Hope this help?
You can start marketing your blog any time you want. The thing is it will be much easier to promote your blog if it has unique and quality content, that is why it is advisable to build some articles first before starting to promote it. If you only have 1 article, there is not much your visitor can do on your site and will pretty much leave the site straight away without subscribing etc...
Go to some good pr 4 or 5 blogs and post a comment on them about your blog and start building some free backlinks.
Normally,you should have at least 30 article before begin any promotion of your blog. But as usual,the more the better coz you don't expect your visitor to visit empty blog.
