I always keep trying. There are weeks when I'll make horrible amounts per click but then again, it will pick up the following week. If adsense starts to bother you with the pricing, etc. You should look into other revenue resources. Keep putting in effort and it will soon pay off.
When someone starts paying more than google, i'll switch to competition without a blink and as fast as possible.
Giving up equals failure. There are plenty of webmasters online that are making thousands of dollars per month in adsense. You have to keep trying. Increase your traffic, write more content, get more links. Look for adsense ebooks online(you can find a few of them for free if you know where to look).
I wouldn't quit AdSense until there is a better option. YPN may pay better, but their targeting is horrible!
The price of clicks is going down? I've made > $0.30 avg per click pretty consistantly for the past several months. If AdSense isn't paying for you it's not time to give up on AdSense. It's time to give up on your site. If you've had 5000 impressions and only made a buck the problem lies with your site. Not AdSense. So far this month I've had not many more impressions than you and have made more than 50 times the amount.
I don't know why you would ever give up on Adsense. Even if it's paying pennies a click, it's still just a couple of lines of text ads on your site. If you've maximized the placement and everything else, just leave it alone and work on getting more traffic, or start on another site. You have to be willing to just say, "Okay, I've done all I can, and this is all I'm going to make with this site", and then move on to something else, and continuing to add content as usual. It's really pointless to waste time bemoaning about smartpricing, cheap CPC, etc. Create your site, get it paying as much as it can, and start on something else, repeat.
Will keep using it until something better comes up, if ever...or maybe Adsense will improve, like smartprice a specific site or channel and not whole accounts.
I don't know why. I tried giving you good rep :/ . Anyway, yeah, what you said makes sense. Move onto other niches (hopefully that interest you).
So long as you are covering hosting/domain costs for a site then you should never give up with adsense.
Never, because it's a great income source. I don't want to earn thousand and thousan of dollars, but to have a constant decent income.
why give up adsense, trying adding other ways of making money with adsense, if it isnt making you alot of money.
My adsense income per day has doubled in the last 4 weeks. The work that I putting into it is starting to pay off. I have 9 sites and 4 blogs. 80% is coming from my main site and 15% from my nest best site. Can't imagine what I'll be earning when they are all firing. I'd say by that time I would be close to retirement!!
