I always get clicks from my visitors, may be because my site mainly visited by people who want to learn about online business... in other words newbies. Its great. I noticed that is the visitors are more matured visitors in term of online business knowledge, they tend to not click the ad. eeeemmmm.....

I usually hover over the url and get the site address if on my own sites and type it into a new FF tab. If I'm on someone else's site I pretty much never click the ads because I'm worried that because Google knows I'm an Adsense participant they'll think it's click fraud and intentional. The only time I click is on search engine results but that's even rare because we all know the organic results are usually more relevant.

Almost never. I believe Google might consider it a click fraud since I am a publisher myself. I also instruct everyone in my family not to click on AdSense ads. It is better to be safe than sorry.

I click on the ad if it interests me and I want to see the website.
That's what they are there for.

Know what really sucks? You tell a friend to check out your site and they wanna be good friends so they click bomb your site and tell all their friends to do it and get you banned. The worst part is they think they are helping you. Some really sad stuff here.

EDIT: Could a mod please remove sweetthing5 from this forum?

LOL, this is so true - the road to Hell is paved with the best intentions :D

One more hint: and never ever Ever EVER tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about your online business - one day the time will come to go separate ways.... and you would never know what would come to mind to your ex best partner :)

What? Where do you get your information? An important part of my health plan is to rub salt in my eyes.

I would once gain like to remind all reading this thread that the OP is not talking about your OWN ads, but rather ads in general.

Well when I'm looking for something that I know that I got to PAY for (new mobile, shopping, etc.) then I click..
When I'm looking for something that I would not pay for (informations, etc.) I would never click on an ad because I know that the content can't be free ;)

Edit: and when I'm looking for a new mobile for example, I don't even look on the organic search results. In such cases ads can provide me much better with the product that I want.
But this is only when looking in google, perhaps I also would never click on an ad on a content site :p

I clicked on an AdSense ad yesterday and here is how.... I visited one site and it started popping up new windows like crazy - so there was a competition of who is faster: me closing windows, or the site opening the new ones :) I missed a couple of times and hit AdSense ads that were on the main page. Needless to say that I hit the back button the moment I clicked the ads - those clicks will be deemed invalid for sure.
