Matt the info is buried somewhere in that massive thread regarding the last PR update. The last snapshot date was noted by Jim Westergen in the thread and based on his info that appears to be the time. Some people launched new sites in very late July and they got nothing in the PR update (ie the snapshot occured before their site launched). But its noted that the snapshots usually don't occur so early.
Likely to be in early January but it's a big possibilty that google engineers would have something in store for us for the Christmas
The snapshot was not in July...I launched my site in early July and got a PR5 on the last update. My site wasnt even indexed until sometime in August.
That would be IMPOSSIBLE!!!! As I said in the above post, if the snapshot occured in late July, I would have attained a PR5 in 3 weeks without my site being indexed. And I know for a fact that I did not deserve a PR5. Where do you get these ridiculous facts? And you're so precise too....July 19-25 lol. It's these types of comments that give birth to other ridiculous threads. I can see it now: "If the last PR snapshot was in July when will the next one be?"
As we all know that except google no one knows the exact date then why do people keep on posting the same question every day? I think instead of searcing for the date you should concentrate more on the tips and tricks used for the PR upgrade.
Well, i'll prove it to you that i am right. I am taking example of Matt Cutts blog, where all posts will have some PR atleast. (since the blog is a pr7/8 ) So here are my findings. The July 23 dated post has a Pr6 and all before than have healthy Pr. The next post July27 and the ones after than have no PR. Hence my conclusion of the snapshot period between July 23 - 27. I don't talk without knowing the facts, please do read and find out more before you can ridicule some ele's comments.
