Amn this is very bad language to use. On a busy forum like this. Yeah that's why your reputation is red. And by the way no one pays banned people. If they have been banned for click fraud.
Well, yeah...they're not going to pay you for fraud... I'm going to call them tomorrow and get the answers straight from them. "Ray" from YPN already said that I'd still get paid, but I'm going to ask specifically if I got banned for having adult content. Then i'm going to ask if I can apply again. Anyone who has been banned...did they tell you that you can apply again? "Ray" told me that I could, but I'm not sure how much he knows.
Really? Interesting. So I guess I can use the other YPN invite I received with no problems.... I'll call them and ask just to make sure....I just find it very discomforting that I asked them if I could run the ads on X site....and then I get banned for running the ads on X site. Unfair. BTW, pancho, what did you get banned for? Int'l clicks? And when did the amount show up in your payment history? I know you didnt' receive your check until a month later, bu twhen did the amount show up?
It showed up on January 10th i believe, it said total balance xx, xxx And from there, i knew i was getting me paycheck.
So it showed up just a few days after the normal people's showed up (beginning of the month)? Not bad. Banned for int'l clicks?
The TOS agreement specifically says you cannot run YPN on adult content sites. We will not show results on pages that contain problematic content, including but not limited to: * Adult-oriented content * Violence, excessive use of vulgar or obscene language * Excessive, duplicate or competing advertisements * Content related to human suffering or death * Copyright or trademark-sensitive products such as MP3 downloads, DVD backups or bootleg items * Weaponry, ammunition, fireworks or explosives * Gambling * Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia * Propaganda, potentially offensive or controversial content * Defamatory, libelous, threatening or other material that advocates against any individual or group * The sale of body parts or bodily fluids * The sale of hazardous substances * Political, religious or charitable organizations, issues or causes * The sale of tobacco and tobacco-related products * Hacking, surveillance, interception or descrambling equipment * The sale (or facilitated sale) of prescription drugs * The sale of counterfeit or stolen items * The sale of government IDs or police items * The sale of alcoholic beverages * The sale of products from any of the following countries: The Balkans, Burma (Myanmar), Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Libya, North Korea, The Sudan, Syria or Zimbabwe
Well, yeah, but where does it say that you don't get paid if you don't follow that ? the TOS also says you can't have any non-US clicks.
It's right in the TOS. "We will determine the validity of traffic, clicks and impressions from Your Site and/or Your RSS Feed(s) and will calculate payment in our sole discretion, solely on the basis of the information we record or collect. We will not pay you for any amounts generated in violation of these Terms or a Policy."
Yeah I see. Well, I'm pretty sure that's referring to the generation of revenue through invalid clicks. All of my clicks are valid (even 100% U.S. traffic). It's just that I had an ad on the site that took you to some nudity. That ad didn't somehow inflate my Yahoo income. Nonetheless, I'm gonna call them shortly to confirm.
Well, nt99. i am not sure bout others but yours is the only one using ypn with that ad network, as far as i know. So i am always watching how the big players go first.
Well I was suspended this week, I got email saying that i was suspended for to much outside u.s. traffic and they would pay me minus adjustments for non u.s. earnings. I am glad to here that people have been paid.
did read someones response that yahoo will allow you to apply again and if that is so has any one been accepeted again
Yes they require you to have all U.S. Traffic. It is not a ban if you are removed from the program, but a temporary suspension for to much International traffic. You may reapply when they open it up to everyone. This was straight from their YPN people.
has any one heard on a scheduled date to stop beta test and open to everyone, my email said i could get back in if i made after beta if i made nessessary changes to correct international traffic, does this mean that they are going to open up to u.s. publishers and still not to international publishers.
Theres usually never a set date when in beta. I think this international clicking business is getting old. Yohoo should control this on their end and simply discount them not ban publishers from the beta for it.
A shame that they get paid? They SHOULD get paid because, after all, it's the publisher's money...unless they cheated to get the clicks.
