In about 1996 I learned a tiny bit of HTML when it was very messy, and then I started toying around with mIRC scripts. I liked that I could manipulate the dialog boxes and make scripts do some things. I did it because I find it fun and it's the way I think!
Christmas day, many many years ago. I found a tutorial on doing a simple calculator in PHP and was curious to see how it worked.
1981... GW-Basic. I wrote a program that generated a financial report that otherwise took about 30 minutes to create manually, using an adding machine, pencil, and accounting paper. The program did it in about 30 seconds. Now that I think about it, it hits me that that was just about 30 years ago. My have things changed.
