1995: first website in 02/95 on Geocities. From there, coding websites by hand and selling them to businesses...
i knew about it before but never got conneted untill 2003 but i've made alot of money, social connetions. i'd like to say, internet has changed alot of my life
I discovered the internet 2004 but on that time I used to dial up So,I have been using internet since 2004.
At the very early stage when internet was newly launched in our city. Since then, never looked back. If there are somethings that I can't live without except the family, then those would be Internet, PC/Laptop, Mobile & Auto.
1990-1991. After playing around with bulletin board systems for some time, I was introduced to this exciting thing called the internet through university. I got the chance to hook up my Mac SE to the internet from home using a real slow modem. Those days there were no browser and there was no world wide web... I remember using telnet, and something called archie and gopher. Just sitting in your own home navigating between computers (at universities) all over the world. A few clicks on the keyboard, and you moved from Chicago to Tokyo. Man, that was a great feeling! The most exciting thing to download was satellite images from weather satellites. We read in magazines about something new called the world wide web with a graphic interface. In 1993 we got the Mosaic browser, and this started the use of internet as most of us know it. Hm, I feel really old now....
Oh, I'm not sure if I remember the year, but sometime in the mid to late 90's, using the old slow ass modems. I'm not sure if we even had 56k yet, but it was on the old windows 3.1.1 taking a minute or two to load a page lol...can't believe we ever put up with that.
I used to run a bulletin board and did so for years. Once I got on the internet tho, that was it. I've used telnet and ftp to download all sorts of stuff before the net even came out. I also think I had the shortest e-mail ever. I used to have "lm@apo.net".
1995 we got a modem at home. I had been trying out BBS'es before in the early nineties when my dad had a modem for his luggable work computer. Started building websites right away.
I would have probably been about 9 bringing be back to 1999. Had to figure out what this y2k thing was all about. Lol
