When CSS is Disabled, What Happens to Inline CSS Styling?

What happens to inline CSS styles when a user disables CSS? Do inline styles stop working? For example, will the paragraph below have a background colour?

    <p style="background-color:#ccc">Lorem ipsum</p>

I obviously haven't tried it, smart arse. I thought I'd ask. Someone else might have tried it.

Disabling CSS will also disable inline styling. :)

    Thanks.

I tried to give you rep, but was not permitted. I must have repped you recently.

But Gary is giving you an interesting lesson here. It would be easier to test it out yourself, as firstly you can directly see the result yourself, no reliance on information from other people (which could be incorrect, or vague), and secondly this has a better learning impact on the individual testing it out imo.

Maybe someone'll give you a similarly cheeky lesson very soon. See if you like it . . .

Why not? Is it so difficult to go to the main browser menu and click View ⇒ Page Style ⇒ No Style?

You've been on this forum for more than two years, and made 1500+ posts, and yet even the simplest of forum conventions has you bamboozled?

If you try something, and the results cause confusion, then we are glad to help; but to not even try, and expect us to do it for you, is presumptuous. Then to call me a "smart arse" paints you with the luser brush.

    I note these recent threads,
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1493680
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1536222
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1319364
Now this one is interesting, for this part:
I even showed you how to do it!
    Then, this, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1284459

You certainly found me to be helpful on those, but now, when a simple "What happened when you tried it?" brings on name calling, I suggest you buy yourself some clue. You may start by reading this, How to ask questions the smart way.

Still being a smartarse, I see.

    I'm not bamboozled, you fool.

Why are you talking as if I'm an outsider? I've been here helping people for years, too.

You seem to think that you're above me, Gary. You ain't shit, my friend.

I didn't expect you to do anything, you moron. You're the one being presumptuous. I simply asked a question, which was met with a rude answer.

You were trying to be a smartarse with that response. You laboured under the impression that you are a big shot and that you could get away with a snide comment. You can't.

What do you want, a round of applause?

So what? So I forgot. Who cares?

You must think that your responses are special and worthy of memorisation.

I suggest you learn how to write.

You seem to think that you're a big shot here, Gary. Don't be deluded, my friend. You ain't shit.

So you help people with HTML. Who cares? So does everybody else. I mostly help people with AdWords and copywriting.

The post that started this argument was submitted by you. It was rude and reflective of arrogance. You were trying to be a smartarse, so I addressed you as one. It was appropriate and justifiable. You can't now come back and complain of 'name calling'.

If someone asks a question, don't think yourself a big shot and respond in a conceited way. It's rude. The person that you insult might just hit you back and make you cry, like you are now.

You need to learn some manners, my friend. You also need to stop thinking that you're a big shot. Like I said, you ain't shit. There are much, much better developers than you here.

I don't think Gary was being rude in his first response. It's pretty much the one my loving husband gives to me when I ask him questions like this. He says, TITS. Try It To See. Now sometimes I'm in a setup where I can't or whatever but he tells me this for the same reason my mom always told me to go look it up.

When wrestling with Apache, about half my questions to my husband came back with TITS. : )
